Champion Lakes Boating Club was formed as a club in 2008 and began racing in 2009, with it's first 5 members.

Since then, the rowing side of the club has grown to having over 40 members and 2 school programs (both of which started up in 2012).

Since 2012, the club has had several State Masters Championships, & won it's first Pennant State Championship in 2013.

Four more Pennant State Championships followed in 2014.

In 2012 the club had it's first group of people compete at the Australian Rowing Nationals (which was held in Perth) as club rowers.

In 2014, the club had it's first rowers fly interstate to compete at the Nationals:

  • 1 who competed at the Australian Rowing Nationals in Sydney as a club rower
  • 2 who competed at the Australian Masters Rowing Nationals in Adelaide, both of whom made the WA State Team.

In 2015, the club sent more people to Sydney to compete at the Australian Rowing Championships.

Going forward into 2016, the club is searching for new members to try rowing and be a part of the team.

CLBC Rowing is aiming to bring more people in from the local areas to strengthen the club as a strong club within the community
