This is the most up and coming Dragon Boat Team in Western Australia, and like the Pheonix has risen from the ashes to grow in power and strength. The dedication and commitment of our crew and coach, John Beinke, is extraordinary and together we have produced a team that is both competitive and dedicated to the community but we need to keep growing and attracting new members.
The Lakers Dragon Boat Club members are committed to providing anyone over 12 years old the opportunity to be a part of something energetic, competitive and fun. We are positioned in a low to middle income residential area and we offer this incredible opportunity at a very low cost, however we are looking to the community to help with those costs so that we can extend our programs. The Lakers provide personnel, equipment and expertise to school group competitions and corporate events.
If you are in a position to assist The Lakers to continue to grow in strength either by becoming a member of our club or by offering sponsorship we would be delighted to meet with you. We are hosting a regatta for all the Dragon Boat Clubs in Western Australia at the international venue: Champion Lakes, (near Kelmscott) in February and expect to attract around 500 people to the event. We are looking for sponsorship for this event and would be very pleased to name the day or a race for your company.
