Radio Sailing

Radio Sailing is a sport that relies more on skills, rather than physical ability.

This allows a diverse group to all compete against each other on the one course.

At Champion Lakes, we currently sail the International One Metre class. The class rules for boat and sail design are fairly rigid, with only a few parameters open for interpretation.

The overall length of the boat is 1 metre (as the name suggests) and weight is 4 Kilograms. It can easly be transported in most cars.

We sail all year round, and is a fantastic sport for full size yachties who want something to do outside race season, or for total beginners that want to be involved in a sport that can be both social and competive.

Sailing is usually on most Sunday afternoons, from 2pm.
